Tournament directors Jay Stender, Brian Hamilton & Jay McGinnis report the results from the 2009 edition of the annual Sheridan Handball Classic. This tournament has been held every year on the weekend after Valentine's day since around 1977, and it has earned a reputation as a very competitive and well attended event.
This year saw 28 players from 4 states competing in 5 brackets, both singles and doubles. Winners not only earned the bragging rights, but took home a bit of pocket change. The participants range in age from 17 to 70+, and were treated to a dinner at the local Elks Club as well as food and drink at the courts.
